Warranty Coverage
✅ 10-Year Warranty – Steel Frame
Your frame is covered for 10 years for any manufacturing faults or defects
✅ 1-Year Warranty – Accessories
All Maaki Bars accessories are covered for 1 year for manufacturing faults.
Fabric items (like swings, nets etc.) are covered for manufacturing defects only.
Normal wear and tear isn’t covered (think: stitching slowly wearing over time from lots of happy use).
What Our Warranty Covers
If something breaks or fails because of the manufacturing process — we’ve got you.
That includes:
● faulty frame parts
● defects in supplied components
● faults that shouldn’t occur under normal family use
What’s NOT Covered (Keeping it Real)
We’re super fair — but there are a few things that aren’t warranty issues.
Normal wear & tear
Just like school shoes and scooters… these things age over time.
This includes:
● surface rust
● fading from the sun
● fabric getting worn from regular use
Weather damage
If a storm comes through and causes damage (wind, rain, falling branches etc.) — that isn’t covered.
(That’s more of a home and contents insurance situation.)
Incorrect assembly / install
If the frame isn’t assembled properly (or instructions aren’t followed), it can cause issues — and that’s not covered.
Please double-check:
● all bolts are tight
● all parts are included and in good condition before building
Not maintaining it
These are designed to last, but you still need to do the basics like:
● check bolts regularly
● inspect swing ropes / fittings
● follow our care guide
Misuse / wild stuff
Maaki Bars are designed for backyard family fun, not Olympic training
So the warranty doesn’t cover damage caused by:
● using it as professional gymnastics equipment
● unsafe use
● anything that puts unreasonable strain on the frame
Third-party accessories
If non-Maaki Bars accessories are added (like other brand swings etc.) and it causes a failure — that won’t be covered.
Coastal / salty air installs
If you’re within 1.6km of the ocean (or exposed to sea spray), the warranty on steel components doesn’t apply — salt air is brutal on metal.
Commercial use
These are for home / family use only.
Use in places like:
● schools
● daycare centres
● play centres
● community organisations
…will void the warranty.
Maaki Bars reserves the right to decline claims where commercial use or overuse is suspected.
If something doesn’t look right, please get in touch. We’ll always do our best to make things right whether that means repair, replacement, or guidance to restore your Maaki Bar safely.
Powder Coating & Warranty (Important)
Powder coating is an aesthetic finish and does not affect structural integrity.
Because marks, scratches, dents and fading are a natural part of outdoor use, we do not offer compensation or warranty coverage for powder coating wear.

If You Need to Make a Warranty Claim
If your claim is accepted:

❌ We don’t offer refunds under warranty
